Brand identity
Navigation as a social act: identity extension and live wayfinding for the Design Show at London College of Communication.
London College of Communication's annual Design Show is a multi-course graduate showcase, part of UAL's end-of-year programme.
The brief was focused: expand the existing visual identity into a leaflet and signage. But the show needed to feel alive, not just open. After two years online, the invitation back had to carry warmth and human presence, not just wayfinding.

The design focused on navigation as a social act. A leaflet translated the existing 3D visual language into a 2D composition of shapes alongside a conceptual map of the building, laying out courses by area. Because the building is complex, the map pointed rather than prescribed. The live signage did the rest: graduating students carried wooden shapes, cut and painted in the show's green and yellow, on handheld sticks, moving through the space, guiding visitors, and talking about their work. Non-static signage, taking people through the show.

Strong attendance across the show. Graduating students participated directly as live guides.
